Asus Padfone 2 sudah resmi dipasarkan di Tanah Air dan sudah membuka pembelian pre-order bersama erafone. Asus Padfone 2 merupakan perpaduan dua perangkat yaitu smartphone dengan tablet.
Asus Padfone 2hadir dengan prosesor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core 1,5GHz dengan RAM sebesar 2GB.
Untuk smartphonenya sendiri hadir dengan layar 4,7 dengan resolusi HD 1280x720 dengan jenis Super IPS+ yang menggunakan display Corning Fit Glass. Sedangkan untuk tabletnya, Asus memnperlengkapinya dengan layar 10.1 inci resolusi 1280 x 800 piksel serta sudah mengusung teknologi IPS. Asus Padfone 2 juga dibekali dengan kamera 13 MP dengan didukung fitur burst mode yang mampu menangkap 100 gambar berurutan dengan kecepatan 6 gambar per detik. Untuk mengabadikan video, Asus Padfone 2 mampu mereka video HD dengan 60fps.
Padfone 2 disematkan sistem operasi Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) namun sangat memungkinkan untuk diupgrade keversi 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). Juga kapasitas baterai Padfone 2 ditingkatkan menjadi 2140 mAh yang mampu bekerja masa aktif hingga 16 jam untuk talk-time di jaringan 3G dan browsing internet via Wi-Fi hingga 13 jam.
Untuk layanan pre order-nya dimulai pada tanggal 6 Maret 2013 bekerja sama dengan Erafone. Untuk Padfone 2 dengan kapasitas 32 GB, akan ditwarkan seharga Rp 8,199 juta. Tapi di masa promosi, smartphone dengan docking tablet ini akan dibanderol seharga Rp 6,499 juta. Sedangkan untuk versi 64 GB ditawarkan dengan harga Rp 9,199 juta, dan di masa promosi akan dijual dengan harga Rp 7,499 juta.
